These were originally collected as a curio, I myself bought one in London for about £15.
They are now sought after and the price can go beyond $200 for a note in UNC condition.
There are counterfeits coming out of China, each one more sophisticated than the last.
Unfortunately, a relative of mine became a victim of one of these counterfeits. They bought the note for me, not knowing it was fake. It was bought online.
I myself only found out it was fake when I found differences between that note and the one I had purchased years ago in London.

If you are buying on ebay, it is hard to see the fine details to recognise whether this is a fake or note.
One obvious give-away is the tree pattern on the obverse. If the leaves don't follow the pattern of the rock, it is a fake.
