Obsolete Banknotes. Michigan. Saginaw. The Saginaw City Bank, $10.00-A, Dec 1837. Bowen-4. Serial No. 1907 payable to J.T. Aimsworth and signed in ink by President Norman Little and Cashier Nelson Smith. Design features large fancy “X” at top center flanked by ornate “10” on either side; on the right large TEN and at the left a large vignette of a Side-wheel Steamboat. Serial Number, dates etc are all in contemporary ink. Imprint of Rawdon, Wright & Hatch, New York. This bank was organized on December 14, 1837 with $50,000 in Capital. The bank closed in 1838.
